Hester 25th February 2017

I'm sitting at the edge of lake wanaka and I've hung some purple, blue and pink ribbon off the branch of (I think) a willow. It's on this lovely little outcrop with Beacon Point jutting across the lake in front of me - towering in the background I can see Black Point and Mist Point (great name) which has snow on the top. It was overcast but just as I sat under this tree the sun came out from behind the clouds and made your ribbons shine while the wind is helping them dance such a merry and joyful dance. It's so beautiful here that I had a bit of a cry. I will leave these ribbons here like we did on your memory tree but I won't leave them just yet because I want to sit here with you for a while longer. Happy birthday, Laoise 💜💗💙
